We’re planning language-model API features that connect conversation to play: companions who remember agreements, ideas that become city plans, and guidance shaped around your game.
Planned features · Examples below illustrate the experience we want to build.
Imagine asking…
“Rest this afternoon. Can we repair the boat together tomorrow?”Illustrative example · Not a live demo
We plan to connect each companion’s personality, known events and promises to the conversation. The API would propose dialogue and actions; game rules would validate the choices before an agreement changes the schedule.
Imagine asking…
“A quiet seaside neighborhood with cafés and small homes.”Illustrative example · Not a live demo
We plan to turn your ideas into a building plan using the spaces, buildings and budget available in your game. You would preview the plan and choose what to build.
Imagine asking…
“What could I change with the companions I already have?”Illustrative example · Not a live demo
We plan to use your lineup and a summary of the last battle to suggest a small number of changes worth trying. Recommendations would use available companions and explain the thinking behind each choice.
Imagine asking…
“What should I practice before trying this stage again?”Illustrative example · Not a live demo
We are exploring a guide that turns a run summary into practical advice about movement, equipment and a small practice goal. The aim is to help you understand your next choice with the gear you already have.
Imagine asking…
“Something with flowers, a few colors, and a gentle start.”Illustrative example · Not a live demo
We plan to help you find existing patterns through a simple description of the theme and complexity you want. For masterworks, short introductions would be grounded in the source museum’s artwork information.
Plans and suggestions will be checked against the available content and game rules before they are shown.
We want you to preview ideas, understand the reasoning, and decide what to try.
We’ll begin with focused prototypes and test whether they make planning, learning and discovery more enjoyable.
A note to future players
Maybe it’s the first street you build, a defense that finally holds, a dodge you time just right, or the last jewel that completes a picture. These are the moments we want our games to leave you with.
Our games begin with different kinds of play. What connects them is the pleasure of making a choice and seeing what happens next. In Five on the Island, we want your conversations and agreements with companions to become part of that experience.
Box Jam is available now. Our next four games are in development, and Five on the Island is at the concept stage. The AI features described here are planned. We’ll share more as these worlds take shape.
